1. Always make sure the fairway is clear of people and animals before throwing.
   
   
2. The youngest player starts throwing on hole 1.
   
   
3. On the next hole, the player with the best results throws first at the basket.
   
   
4. The throw is done with the supporting foot within a zone 3 meters behind the throwing marker.
   
   
5. After the disc is released, it is allowed to rise above the throwing marker.
   
   
6. The location of the next throw is from the back of the disc, where the supporting foot is placed within 30 cm straight behind the disc. It is also allowed to step out with one foot to the side, but not closer to the basket. Approach is allowed, as long as a foot is put down in the right place behind the disc.
   
   
7. The player who is furthest from the basket always throws first for safety reasons.
   
   
8. The ground in front of the throwing marker may be touched immediately after the disc has been thrown. In the case of putts (throws shorter than 10 meters from the basket), you must not rise above the mark until full balance has been shown.
   
   
9. A disc that lands OB (Out of Bounds) must be played from the place where the disc crossed the OB boundary. You must do it with a throw. Common OB's include roads and streams.

Although the rules of disc golf cover most things, it's important to follow some unwritten rules as well:

1. Respect your surroundings, including other players, people, plants, and animals.
   
   
2. Never throw your disc if there's a risk of hitting someone else.
   
   
3. Don't damage branches or small trees, even if they're in your way or you're frustrated.
   
   
4. Take your trash with you and dispose of it properly. Littering is never okay.
   
   
5. Let faster groups play through yours. You'll appreciate the same courtesy later on.
   
   
6. Most importantly, have fun! After all, that's what disc golf is all about.
