Try roller skiing
If you are curious about trying roller skiing, Längdcentrum is a perfect place to start. Here you can rent roller skis and go for a ride to experience the speed and movement along the roads. They also offer courses where you learn the basics of the technique and get help to feel safe and secure on roller skis.
Längdcentrum - Summer activity hub
Längdcentrum is Orsa Grönklitt's activity center and is open every day of the year. During the summer, the instructors change focus and offer lessons in cycling and roller skiing. In addition to renting bicycles, canoes, roller skis, inlines, fishing equipment and the accessories needed for an active holiday, there is also an outdoor shop.
Service and maintenance
After a ride, it is a good idea to clean your skis as they can be exposed to a lot of dirt from the asphalt. It is important to wash your skis with soapy water and a cloth. Let them dry thoroughly before storing them in a dry place. They should not be stored in damp and cold conditions during the winter months, as there is a risk of ice forming in the wheel bearings.
