Here at Orsa Grönklitt, we continue to invest in creating even better winter experiences. For the 2026/2027 winter season, we are improving snow reliability, expanding skiing opportunities in the northern ski area and introducing new experiences in the Snowpark and Äventyrsbacken adventure slope. Our cross-country ski trail network is expanding to an impressive 145 km, and we are launching a new cross-country ski school in partnership with Almgren Coaching.

For children, there’s plenty to look forward to, including the new Blåbärslyan indoor play area, more activities and Bärra’s Blueberry Pass.

New childcare and Bärra’s Blueberry Pass

Just in time for Christmas 2026, we’re opening the new Blåbärslyan – a unique and inspiring indoor play area where children can explore, play and get creative together with our activity leaders. We’re also introducing more children’s activities and a brand-new VIP pass for kids – Bärra’s Blueberry Pass, packed with Bärra’s best experiences.

❄️ Blåbärslyan is open Monday to Saturday, from 21 December to 3 April.

❄️ Children’s activities are available daily, Monday to Saturday.

❄️ Bärra’s Blueberry Pass includes admission to Blåbärslyan, one activity, a personal greeting and a gift from Bärra Blåbär. A day pass costs SEK 350 per child, with options available for 1–6 days.

More play, more adventures and an extra touch of VIP treatment! Bärra’s Blueberry Pass is a must-have for kids this winter!

At Blåbärslyan, our activity leaders take care of the children in a parent-free environment. Children aged 3 and above who are fully toilet-trained are welcome.

Standard admission to Blåbärslyan: SEK 195 per child per day.

More Accessible Skiing in the North

This winter, the northern ski area is getting an exciting and much-anticipated upgrade. An existing slope (Slingan) will be redesigned with a completely new route and reclassified as a blue run, offering a fun and more accessible alternative to the area's red and black slopes. The black run Helan will also be widened to improve the skiing experience.

The new route follows the natural contours of the terrain, creating a playful slope with a skicross-inspired feel – where the journey down becomes part of the adventure.

At the same time, the forest in the area will be thinned out to create better opportunities for skiing between the slopes.

Improvements are also being made in the Mellanbacken ski area. Here, the Losvängen slope will be widened, and the surrounding forest will be thinned out to provide more space and even more opportunities for fun skiing off the groomed slopes.

More alpine skiing and improved snow reliability for the winter season

Alpine skiing here at Orsa Grönklitt continues to develop. Following last winter’s major investments, we are now taking the next step, with a focus on improved snow reliability, better access between the ski areas and even more skiing.
Last winter, we introduced several new features to our alpine ski area. The new Fikabacken and Äventyrsbacken slopes were equipped with snowmaking, while Äventyrsbacken was filled with playful features – including Sweden’s first cinnamon bun on a ski slope. We also opened a brand-new Snowpark, which quickly became a popular addition among our guests.

More Powerful Snowmaking and increased capacity in Söderbacken

A brand-new high-capacity pump is being installed together with 10 new modern snow guns. This investment will enable faster and more efficient snowmaking when weather conditions are favourable, improving snow reliability on both our alpine slopes and cross-country trails.
We are also upgrading the snowmaking system in Söderbacken to ensure consistently high-quality snow conditions on both the ski slopes and lift tracks.

Even more playful skiing

We are also continuing to develop two of last winter’s popular additions. Äventyrsbacken will feature even more playful elements and new features, turning every run into an adventure for both children and adults. The Snowpark will also continue to evolve, with more and new features designed to offer greater variety, progression and even more fun on the slopes.

Improve your cross-country skiing with Almgren Coaching

This winter, our cross-country ski school is run in collaboration with Almgren Coaching. Whether you are a beginner, want to improve your technique or are training for a race, there are lessons suited to your level. Choose between group lessons and private lessons in classic skiing and skate skiing.

New and expanded snow storage area

We are now building a brand-new snow storage area with the capacity to store more than 30,000 cubic metres of snow. At the same time, our existing snow storage area is being expanded to 28,000 cubic metres, creating even better conditions for an early cross-country skiing season opening during the 2026 autumn break and for reliable snow conditions on our cross-country trails.
From 2027, Orsa Grönklitt will have a total snow storage capacity of more than 60,000 cubic metres of snow.

New ski school group – Snowpark

This winter, we are launching Snowpark, a brand-new ski school group for young skiers who want to discover or develop their park riding skills. The group is perfect for both beginners taking their first steps in the terrain park and those with some experience who want to progress further.

The focus is on building a solid foundation with safety, control and confidence at the heart of every session, while developing technique and learning new tricks together with our experienced instructors.

We continue to develop our cross-country skiing

Ahead of the winter season, we continue to enhance the cross-country skiing experience at Orsa Grönklitt. With new trails, improved routes and upgraded infrastructure, we're creating even more opportunities for recreational skiers, elite athletes and families alike.

✔ New trails: Berget Runt 11 km, Blåbärsmyren 3 km and Kallbolsrundan 3 km.
✔ Kallbolsrundan will feature a new route, creating a continious loop, and will be renamed Kallbolsmyren.
✔ Several of our cross-country ski trails will recieve new names to make the trail system clearer and easier to navigate.
✔ Utsiktsspåret will be extended from 6 to 7 km, passing through and alongside the new Sjögläntan accomodation area.
✔ Gröna milen will hade a new roure for its first 150 meters.
✔ The track to and from Fryksås will be widened to accommodate both classic and skate skiing. It will also be open for dog-assisted skiing.
✔ Our children's ski playground at the ski stadium is being further developed for our youngest guests.
✔ We are also improving the trail signage, making it even easier to find your way around the trail network.
