Winter hiking
Winter is a great time to spend time outdoors and hiking doesn't have to be put on pause when the temperature drops.
Head out and discover winding paths and nice views – it's just as beautifully clad in snow as it is without. Experience sparkling snow creaking as you walk, hoarfrost in the trees and animal tracks in the snow. When the weather permits, we plow up two loops around Orsa Grönklitt, which are perfect for a walk on the resort.
At the facility you will also find great opportunities for hiking with snowshoes, if you do not have shoes with you, it is available for rent in our Sportshop.
Winter walk in Orsa Grönklitt
The forest tour to Fryksås about 5 km
Nice forest walk in relatively flat terrain on snowmobile trails. The walk goes to Fryksås and turns around as well as a circular loop. Packed if necessary and is also marked with blue signs with the text "Winter walk" and reflectors. In the same area there are also packed trails for ski orienteering and ski trails, these should not be walked in.
Walk with Snowshoes
Hiking with snowshoes extends both the hiking and skiing season. You can get out into lands that can otherwise be difficult to access for hiking. Hiking with snowshoes has become increasingly popular in recent years and it has now become a fairly common winter activity.
