Experience Trail Running in Orsa Grönklitt

From the resort, you can access a wide network of marked trails and unmarked paths that lead straight out into the forest. Whether you’re an experienced trail runner or looking to try something new, you’ll find terrain here that suits every level.

At the Cross-Country Centre, we can help you find the right equipment for running on uneven terrain – from shoes with great grip to functional clothing for all types of weather.

Trail running isn’t just about speed and elevation gain. It’s also a way to clear your mind, find focus, and truly experience nature. Here you can leave everyday life behind and let your steps guide you through forests and landscapes close to the mountains.

Our trail running signs are in place from mid-May to mid-October

Beginner Tips for Trail Running

  • Start with shorter runs to let your body adapt to uneven and hilly terrain.

  • Try to land with your feet directly under your body.

  • Keep your weight slightly toward the front of your foot.

  • Lift your gaze and look ahead to spot roots, rocks, and other obstacles.

  • Relax your shoulders and keep your chest upright.

  • Take slightly shorter steps for better balance and control on the trails.
